ELEGIBILITY

A common myth is that you must play 2 rec sessions (T-Shirt Leagues) prior to joining the Colorado Flames. This is not true. We ask that you participate in two rec sessions during the course of the Flames season (November tthrough June). This allows the skater to incorporate what s/he learns in Flames practices into game situations.

Everyone is eligible for play on the Colorado Flames regardless of skill level. No player will be cut or benched. Each club member must participate in 2 Skate City recreational play sessions during the course of the club year and maintain a current SIHA membership. Please refer to SIHA's rules and policy about playing for and against SIHA sanctioned teams. If further clarification is needed, please contact your club director or SIHA.

AGE

The age category for each player is determined by that players age as of December 31st. If the player is 6 on December 31st with a birth date of January 1st, they are eligible to play for the 6U team. Age categories consist of 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, and 17U.

Each age group has three different levels of play:

• Gold-Advanced
• Silver-Intermediate
• Bronze-Novice

Level of play for each child and team will be determined by coaching staff and club director.

COST

The cost of club team play is:

• SIHA Membership $25 per year (you have this if you're playing rec league)
• Club dues are $40 per player per year.
• Recreational Leagues $55-$75 per session.

  • Team Jerseys $89 - home and away (plus tax)
  • Team Pants starting at $38 for youth (plus tax) new RBK series available at Skate City
  • Team Pants starting at $45 for adult (plus tax) new RBK series available at Skate City
• Tournament fees $40 per tournament (3 game minimum)
• RC Nationals Tournament $55 fee

^*equipment required for all levels of play include helmet, shin guards, gloves, mouth piece, skates, stick, and a jock cup for boys.
